A man was yesterday charged with fracturing his three-month-old son’s arm when he allegedly held him from the arm as the child was about to fall.

The 24-year-old man, whose name is not being published in order to protect the child’s identity, was charged with seriously injuring his son, with ill-treating the child and with relapsing.

The man, who pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him, was granted bail against a deposit of Lm500 and a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.

Police Inspectors Raymond Aquilina and Anthony Cassar prosecuted while Dr Edward Gatt appeared for the accused.
