The Farsons Foundation is financing the visit to Malta of Dr Sergio Benedetti, Head Curator and Keeper of the Collection, National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin, as part of the foundation’s support for Heritage Malta’s forthcoming event: Caravaggio 400th anniversary celebration.
Dr Benedetti will be conducting the Farsons Foundation lecture on Caravaggio, marking Caravaggio’s arrival in Malta 400 years ago.
The sponsorship was presented by the president of the Farsons Foundation, Bryan A. Gera, to Mario Tabone, chairman of Heritage Malta at the Farsons brewery.
“The Farsons Foundation appreciates the importance of the work carried out by Heritage Malta, which helps to promote and cultivate Malta’s cultural heritage for future generations,” said Mr Gera.
“The foundation has extended its support to Heritage Malta on other cultural events and is proud to be able to contribute towards this initiative, which honours an enigmatic and fascinating artist,” he added.
The Farsons Foundation lecture will be held on Thursday at the National Museum of Fine Arts, Valletta, inaugurating Heritage Malta’s programme on Caravaggio.
