Olivia Lewis was among the guests of the welcome party organised by the mayor of Helsinki, the Eurovision host city, held on Monday night at the Finlandia Hall in Helsinki.

This was a unique opportunity where all delegations including the Eurovision singers were present under one roof. One could notice that all singers were trying their best to attract the media’s attention. The diva from Denmark, DQ, was all in white, while the Ukraine representative Verchka was all in silver.

Our eyes were all for Olivia Lewis. She was wearing the fiery red dress which was kept as a reserve at the Malta Song for Europe 2007. Finally, Olivia wore the dress and the result was amazing. She looked stunning.

Speaking to Olivia about this she said, “I am glad everyone likes the dress... especially the ‘Schlager Boys’ who kept on insisting that I should wear it.”

We also asked Olivia about the outfit for tomorrow’s semi-final. It seems that the Maltese delegation is almost 100 per cent certain that the outfit and the rest of the performance will stay as it was last Sunday. There will not be any changes except for some minor details. On the whole, the stage performance will stay as it is.

Earlier in the afternoon, Olivia Lewis performed some songs at the Eurovision Village, a square in the central part of Helsinki, where several tents bearing the Eurovision logo are erected. There is also a stage on one end of the square where all singers are invited to perform some of their personal hits.

Olivia Lewis performed Vertigo, its remix and also Dejavu.

The present crowd cheered with our popular singer and later met her for autographs and photos.

Preceding Olivia Lewis’ performance was Magda, who is representing Hungary at this year’s Eurovision.

She performed some cover versions of popular rock songs. This went down very well with the Finnish rockers.

In the meantime, last night Olivia Lewis was invited to perform during the party organised by the BIG 4 countries: Spain, UK, Germany and France.

Later during the night, another flight from Malta landed in Helsinki with another group of Maltese fans, including Olivia Lewis’ parents and relatives.
