‘Pushing Power’ Afternoon sessions to be held every Monday and Thursday

Malta Independent Monday, 14 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

Pushing Power is no regular fitness class – it is the only fitness class on the island designed for mothers with young children (who are still of the age to sit in their buggy). This class is designed to get mothers back into shape after pregnancy, toning core muscle groups, improving stamina and fat burning. The aim of the class is not only exercise, but it allows mums to bond with their child as well as socialise with other mothers. Pushing Power is unique because it allows these women to enjoy exercise without having to leave their child with a minder.

For the past six months Pushing Power classes have been held weekly on Monday mornings at the Eden Arena and due to their success and the demand, a free trial class was held on 26 April at 4pm at the Eden Arena, with many mothers showing up with babies in buggies and kids at their side. Due to its success, the 4pm Thursday class will be held from this week onwards.

Tickets cost Lm20 for 10 sessions and Lm35 for 20 sessions, and apply to both Monday mornings and Thursday afternoons.

Free parking is offered to all participants at the Eden Car Park and baby changing and feeding facilities are on hand. A crèche is also available for mothers with more than one child.

A schedule of classes is available at

www.cynergi.com.mt, and more information can be had by calling 2371-0700.

This event is sponsored by T’Angelina Home and Baby, and Rosanne Borg (Independent Herbalife Distributor 9982-8602).
