GWU Proposals to Bank of Valletta

Malta Independent Tuesday, 15 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

The General Workers’ Union has asked the Bank of Valletta to improve the facilities for its employees by providing child care centres for them and enter into agreement with a private firm to reduce the employees’ stress.

Instead of the bank itself providing the child care facilities, it could give an allowance to those employees who require the service, the union suggested.

As for its other proposal, it said the bank could partner with a company which would help reduce the employees’ stress and help in their work-life balance.
