Joseph Xuereb has recently been appointed Executive Head Chef at The Palace, Sliema.
Mr Xuereb comes to The Palace with a vast curriculum which incorporates experience locally and abroad.
In fact, Joseph Xuereb has worked in leading 5-Star hotels locally as well as some prestigious places abroad. These include L’Horizon Hotel in Jersey and the Savoy Hotel and Selfridges in London.
Mr Xuereb’s creative talents in food preparation have also led to his successful participation in many gastronomic competitions.
To-date, Mr Xuereb has won many awards, including eight gold medals as well as eight silver and one bronze and innumerable other honours.
Ms Claire Xuereb, General Manager, The Palace, spoke about this new appointment. “This is set to be a great challenge, since the hotel is ear-marked to be a leading 5-star on the island in terms of quality. Joseph’s expertise is definitely something we, at The Palace, place great value on”, she said.
The new Executive Head Chef will be assuming control of The Palace’s three quality restaurants – the Tabloid, TemptAsian lounge and The Talk of Town Café.
Each of these new restaurants will be serving different types of food.
