Hennessy scored high in the “Brandies” category at the 2007 San Francisco World Spirit Competition, with awards given for each of its quality products, particularly Paradis Extra and Richard Hennessy, which were given two double gold medals
The San Francisco World Spirit Competition is a comprehensive, international spirits judging competition held in the United States on an annual basis. Founded in 2000 by Anthony Dias Blue, Wine and Spirits editor of Bon Appetit magazine and Carol Seibert, managing director of the San Francisco International Wine Competition, the spirits competition continues to grow each year. The spirits judged are divided into four categories: White Spirits, Whiskys, Brandies and Liqueurs.
Over 700 spirits from 51 countries were registered for the competition.
