The five-star Corinthia Lisboa Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal announced the appointment of new Executive Chef Gyula Harangi, who hails from Hungary. In 2004, Gyula was chosen as his country’s top young executive chef.
Gyula Harangi brings with him a wealth of experience in the catering industry, having previously occupied senior management roles at the multiple award-winning Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest, Hungary, and its sister property in the same city, the Corinthia Aquicum Hotel, both five-star de luxe properties. He also held top positions at the Hotel Sheraton Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, the Budapest Hilton Hotel and Crystal Cruises, among others. Welcoming Gyula to Corinthia Lisboa Hotel, general manager José Luiz Moreira said: “Gyula joins us at a very exciting time in the hotel’s development.
