A man was yesterday accused of stealing an amount of cash and antique coins from a house in Mgarr as well as the attempted theft of a Yamaha outboard engine from a boat in St Paul’s Bay.

Charles Guntrip, 27, from Rabat, was charged with stealing several items from a house in Mgarr on 4 March 2005 and trying to steal the motor later on that afternoon.

Before Magistrate Antonio Mizzi, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him.

Police Inspector Anthony Portelli prosecuted while Dr Franco Debono and Dr Marion Camilleri appeared for the accused.
