A man was yesterday remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to heroin and cocaine possession with intent to traffic.
Robert Attard, 23, from Marsa, was charged with possessing around 100 grams of heroin and cocaine which were found in circumstances denoting it was not for his personal use.
Before Magistrate Doreen Clarke, Mr Attard pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him. He was refused bail and remanded in custody.
Magistrate Clarke also recommended that Mr Attard receives treatment for his drug addiction.
Police Inspector Pierre Grech prosecuted while Dr Giannella Caruana Curran and Dr Manwel Mallia appeared for the accused.
