Kay Cassar, the winner of the Pantene Hair of the Year search was announced last Friday during a gala event held at the Merkanti beach club at the Hilton. The 11 finalists were voted on their hair, skin, smile and general appearance by a panel of five judges including Procter & Gamble representative Amaury Marchandise and Victor Galea Salomone from VJ Salomone Marketing, distributors for Pantene.

The search for the Pantene Hair of the Year was announced during the launch of the new Pantene image last April and for the past six weeks, local model scout Carina Camilleri has been scouting for potential Pantene women. The Pantene woman knows that as long as her hair is looking beautiful, she will feel beautiful.

Her hair is perfectly shiny allowing the best of her to shine through. The finalists were announced three weeks ago and since then, they have been appearing on the TV programme Liquorish.

The public could also vote online and made up five per cent of the overall decision.

Liquorish presenter Andrea Cassar introduced each girl who then walked up and down a catwalk while a short clip was aired on screen.

After a final deliberation between the judges, Kay Cassar emerged as the winner of the Pantene Hair of the Year search 2007.

Kay wins a year’s contract with model agency models.com, a weekend at the Fortina Spa resort and a cover and six-page fashion spread with FM magazine during the coming months

With the help of the new Pantene Pro-V, every woman can express her inner shine and can feel great in a regular day.
