Second ‘Notte Bianca’ On 6 October

Malta Independent Wednesday, 27 June 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The second Notte Bianca will be held in Valletta on Saturday, 6 October, Tourism and Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech said yesterday.

It will be organised in conjunction with

several entities, and will once again include artistic and cultural activities with the intention of generating more activity in the capital city.

The event will be held following the resounding success of the first Notte Bianca held last October, which was followed up with similar events on the night of the Epiphany, also in Valletta, and a Gozitan night of events last month.

Art and culture will be more accessible to the public on this night, said Dr Zammit Dimech, and he called for sponsors to help in the organisation of the occasion.

Among the events planned, there will be concerts of rock, jazz, pop, sacred and ethnic music, classic and contemporary dance and art exhibitions by Maltese artists, while museums will remain open throughout the night.
