Middlesea Valletta has produced a free booklet to unravel the mysteries of pensions. Entitled “Your Pension Explained”, it takes a look at all aspects of retirement including how much you can expect from the government, how much extra you might need and what simple steps you can take to make your retirement as happy and fulfilling as possible.

MSV Pensions Consultant, Stuart Fairbairn commented: “Too many people defer thinking about retirement until it is too late. We want to help people to take responsibility and ownership for their own future. This booklet is the first of its kind in Malta and is the first in a series of initiatives to be taken this year to encourage people to look to the future. With life expectancy increasing each year, 60 really is the new 40, and people should be looking forward to a retirement that might last as long as their working lives. Planning for retirement is not as complicated as people might think and small changes today can make a large difference in the future.”
