During the summer staff barbeque, Island Insurance Brokers Ltd managing director Lawrence Pavia announced two senior management appointments within the company.

Mark Spiteri has been appointed general manager, and Clifford Cauchi assistant general manager.

Mr Spiteri (pictured right), who joined Island Insurance Brokers in 1990, was responsible for the company’s Industrial and Commercial Department and was also directly involved in the handling of insurance advice for a number of major clients. He will now be responsible for the continued efficient operation of the company and to expand the company’s portfolio further. Another area of his responsibility is the continued professional development of all the company’s broking staff.

Mr Cauchi, (pictured left), an accountant by profession, will be responsible for the Company’s Finance, IT and Administrative Department and will assist Mr Spiteri with his new responsibilities. Mr Cauchi, who joined Island Insurance Brokers Ltd in 2002, is a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons), a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants. Before joining Island, Mr Cauchi worked with one of the leading audit firms where he was responsible for the audits of a number of financial and banking clients.
