Last week at The Pavilion, Westin Dragonara Resort, an energetic crowd gathered to bid for 29 good value properties. The auctioneer calls for one more bid then it’s “Going going sold”... and in less than 10 minutes another property has changed owners.

It is amazing how simple it is to purchase property by auction and how excited people are about this process. Surprisingly enough there were quite a few determined foreigners but mostly Maltese bidding for various good value property lots on offer.

One particular property that started at Lm225,000 finished up selling for Lm245,000. Other small properties such as two well priced three-bedroomed apartments in Swieqi sold between Lm55,000 to Lm60,000.
