An audio guide for visitors to Vittoriosa was launched yesterday morning by Cultel and the Vittoriosa local council.

The audio guide, which can be downloaded from the Vittoriosa website in Maltese, English, German, Italian, French and Spanish helps visitors find their way around the town.

Mayor John Boxall said, “This unique project provides a detailed insight in the way of life of the people of this historic town. This project combines technology with vision, innovation and dedication. We are thankful to Vittoriosa engineer Lawrence Saliba who, with the support of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta and the help of the local council, managed to get this excellent and highly ambitious project off the ground.”

The MP3 audio guide can be hired from the Vittoriosa local council or downloaded from www.birgu.gov.mt.
