GFI MailEssentials, an anti-spam and anti-phishing solution, has won Service Provider Weekly’s Editors Choice Award 2007 for performance and reliability, GFI Software, an international developer of network security, content security and messaging software has announced. Tests carried out by the magazine found that GFI MailEssentials stopped 98 per cent of spam received – “if not slightly better”.
“GFI MailEssentials for Exchange/SMTP can effectively stop spam from hitting user inboxes and it receives our Editor’s Choice Award for performance and reliability,” the on-line magazine for service providers said.
Service Provider Weekly said the installation of the package was quite easy and recommended that it be used on the same system as the e-mail server “for the best results”. The magazine said it liked the way GFI MailEssentials provided detailed information for network administrators.
