In line with recently introduced regulations, Marks and Spencer has totally reviewed accessibility in its stores and customers with a disability can now gain access to all sections within the stores without any assistance.

Ms Amy Zahra was all smiles when she was greeted by retail operations manager Richard Scerri. Amy toured the Valletta store, which spans a large area of retail space. The more recent section of the outlet in Strait Street includes five floors which, due to purpose-built ramps and lifts, has been carefully designed to allow accessibility to all floors and sections. Amy was pleasantly surprised when she could do it all alone with less effort. She said that this is a step in the right direction and she would like to see other establishments follow suit.

Amy was presented with vouchers and also a token gift from the staff.

She then walked around the Valletta store at her leisure and enjoyed a short session of retail therapy.
