British Airways and Elemis, the luxury British spa and skincare brand, have announced a new agreement between the two UK brands.
The five-year deal sees Elemis taking over the running of British Airways’ five current airport lounge spas in Heathrow’s Terminals 1 and 4 and New York JFK’s Terminal 7, and the supply of the in-flight Club World amenity kits from October 2007.
The flagship spas will also be introduced in the airline’s new Terminal 5 home at London Heathrow airport in March 2008.
Following more than a year of development, Elemis has exclusively designed British Airways spa-therapies for First, Club World and Gold Executive Club members travelling on long haul flights. Elemis has created two levels of therapy. The departure offering will aid sleep and relaxation and the arrivals treatments will re-awaken and energise the customer after their flight.
Customers will be able to enjoy a 15-minute well-being treatment on a state-of-the-art intelligent massage chair at the experienced hands of an Elemis therapist. Customers will be able to choose from a selection of four treatments including a face, foot, hand and scalp offering.
The in-flight amenity kits will contain Elemis Eyes Awake Recovery Gel, Pro-Coll Marine Cream, Lip Revive and Rehydrating Ginseng Skin Tonic as well as socks and eyeshades, ear plugs, toothpaste and toothbrush.
Finola Lehane, British Airways’ brand and service development manager, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Elemis as our spa provider. Our customers will benefit from Elemis’ extensive experience in producing top-quality skincare, both through treatments in the British Airways lounges and on board via the amenity kits. Our two brands are synonymous with quality and luxury, and we anticipate that our customers will be delighted with the new spa and amenity products.”
