The organisers of the Malta Music Festival announced yesterday that the tickets for the highly anticipated match between past football legends from England and Italy, followed by a concert by Simply Red are now available.

Prices start from Lm6/EUR13.98 for the football match and from Lm10/EUR23.99 for the Simply Red concert. Block tickets for both the match and the concert are also available.

At present, the tickets are available directly from the organisers on 2132-2001. From Tuesday, the tickets will be available from any GO outlet and the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre (MFCC) offices in the Millennium Stand in Ta’ Qali. A local booking fee of 50c/EUR1.16 will be charged.

The game, with the likes of Les Ferdinand, Paul Gascoigne and David Platt for England and Toto Schillaci, Beppe Signori and Andrea Pazzagli for Italy will be played at Ta’ Qali Stadium.

Football legend Ian Rush, who will be coaching the English team, called on the Maltese to support the English team, even though there are many who support the Italians.

The match, which will take place on 1 November, will be followed by a dinner for around 2,000 people who will have the chance to speak to the players while supporting a charitable organisation that is still to be decided

On November 2, for the Malta Music Festival, British pop group Simply Red will perform during a concert at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre in Ta’ Qali.
