HSBC Malta Offers customers a BRIC!

Malta Independent Sunday, 2 September 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

HSBC Malta is now offering customers one of HSBC Group’s global funds the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) Freestyle Fund.

By investing in the BRIC Freestyle fund, investors can access the combined potential of the world’s four largest emerging markets – Brazil, Russia, India and China. In 2006, for the fifth year in succession, HSBC’s BRIC collectively outpaced the returns from the developed markets. This performance looks set to continue with the foundations for continued economic growth established in these economies. The freestyle approach of this fund means that the fund managers have more flexibility when choosing the underlying investments, as they are not constrained by a benchmark.

HSBC Malta has also introduced two other funds, the Chinese Equity Fund and the Indian Equity Fund.

All three funds are managed by the HSBC Group’s Investment arm that has assets under management of $328 billion as at 31 December 2006.

Customers interested in finding out more about these funds can call at any branch of HSBC Bank Malta or contact Customer Service on 2380 2380.
