A 17-year-old was yesterday remanded in custody on charges relating to possession of the drugs heroin and cocaine, in circumstances indicating that they were not for his own personal use.
The accused, who cannot be named, was accused of being in possession of 36 packets of heroin and cocaine on 1 September. The accused pleaded not guilty, but the court, presided over by magistrate Jacqueline Padovani ordered that he be remanded in custody.
Police inspector Norbert Ciappara prosecuted while Dr Franco Debono appeared for the accused.
