A Chad-born migrant was jailed for a year after being found guilty of trafficking and being in possession of cannabis resin, while a second migrant, born in Sudan, was jailed for nine months for being in possession of the drug earlier this year.
The Sudanese national, Ali Gadem Abdelrahim, 26, was also fined Lm250 (582EUR), while Abubaker Bashir Hussein, 23, was fined Lm300 (698EUR).
The court was presided over by Magistrate Lawrence Quintano.
Police Inspector Norbert Ciappara prosecuted and Dr Jose Herrera appeared for the accused.
