A series of events aimed at raising levels of safety awareness in the installation and use of lifts is being held by the Malta Lift Association, addressing the different lift technical sectors and highlighting the legal responsibilities of lift owners in the context of ongoing developments in lift safety regulations.

On Wednesday from 11am to noon on RTK radio, the responsibilities and obligations of lift owners will be explained and discussed in the phone-in radio programme Bejnietna.

On Tuesday 18 September, the technical and legal aspects of the Inspection of Lifts Regulations, 2008 will be analysed and discussed following an introduction by the Malta Standards Authority at an afternoon seminar at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. On Wednesday 3 October, Risk Assessment on Lift Work Sites published by Malta Lift Association will be launched at an afternoon workshop at the Malta Conference Centre.
