HP Regional Manager, Patrick Diaz, responsible for HP Industry Standard Servers and HP Storage for HP’s emerging European market, of which Malta forms part, was in Malta recently to promote HP’s world leading Blade Server and Storgae technology, in conjunction with Systec, authorised HP distributor and service partner for Malta.
During his visit, Mr. Diaz, presented the HP award for “Largest Distributor for HP Industry Standard Servers & Storage 2006”, to Systec’s managing director Ing. Raphael Micallef Trigona.
“Systec have won this award for the second year running now. Systec have developed this market significantly, especially in the HP Blade server sector. What is all the more impressive is that Malta is not the largest country in the group, with Bosnia-Herzegovina, for example, having a population of four million, and yet Systec was the largest distributor in the sector for 2006,” explained Mr Diaz.
Accepting the award, Ing. Micallef Trigona said, “While it was an honour for Systec’s performance to be recognised by HP, this achievement was in fact the fruit of solid investment in staff training and certification, particularly in virtualisation technologies for IT. As a distributor Systec wishes to thank its partners and staff for their vital role in its success.”
Systec received a second accolade in the form of HP award to its technical consultant, Nuno Fernandes, for “HP CDG Blade Ambassador 2006”.
