Eighty-eight graduates who joined the Bank of Valletta workforce in February have completed their probation period and were formally welcomed to the BOV family during a reception at the Coastline Hotel.

BOV chief executive officer Tonio Depasquale extended his congratulations to the new employees, stressing that the bank’s human resources are one of the main strengths of BOV. “We are proud that, through our branches and business centres, our staff continues to offer a truly genuine and caring service to our customers – a service based on supportiveness and mutuality. This is resulting in a further strengthening of the BOV brand in the market. Indeed, all our research indicates that BOV is continuing to improve its customer experience and that customers appreciate the friendliness and practicality of our employees coupled with their marked degree of professionalism,” he said.

He expressed confidence that the new employees who were now being confirmed in regular employment would continue to spearhead the bank’s efforts to offer a quality customer experience through all delivery channels and particularly through those where employees came into direct contact with customers.

During the event, Anna Maria Rossi, a BOV employee for the past 11 years, shared her experience and the important milestones of her career at the bank. Two of the new entrants, Catherine James Sammut and Clifton Caruana, currently deployed at the IT Services Division and Hamrun branch respectively, also spoke of their experiences to date.

On his part, Noel Scerri, executive head responsible for human resources at BOV, congratulated the new employees for completing their probation period and gave them a warm welcome. “On behalf of all employees, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Bank of Valletta. You are about to start your new career at the bank and I trust that over the years, you too will become an integral part of the bank’s success story.”

Representatives from the HR department and the Training and Development Centre also attended the event celebrating the confirmation of employment of the new entrants.
