The president of the PN College of Councillors, Malcolm Mifsud, is on a visit to the United States after he received an invitation from the US embassy to participate in the International Visitor Leadership programme.

Dr Mifsud is joining other EU country representatives who are involved in politics or political journalism. The programme is to be held in diverse political, economic and governmental institutions such as the State department, the Defence department and others in Washington, San Diego, Norfolk and New York. The programme, which started yesterday, will last until 28 September.
