Bank of Valletta has signed an agreement with the Chamber of Engineers (CoE), the dynamic organisation whose efforts are geared towards enhancing the engineering profession.

The agreement was signed by Igino Xuereb, chief officer operations at Bank of Valletta and Ing. Helga Pizzuto, President of the Chamber of Engineers. Ing. Alan Abela and Ing. Antoine Sciberras also attended the ceremony on behalf of the CoE.

“The signing of this Business Alliance with the Chamber of Engineers further consolidates BOV’s position as an active and supportive partner of business and professional associations,” said Mr Xuereb during the signing of the agreement. He explained how through the BOV’s Community Programme, and specifically through such business strategic alliances, the Bank tangibly supports the members that make up such organisations. “We are confident that this agreement will lead to new opportunities for closer collaboration between our organisations and that this will directly benefit the members of the Chamber of Engineers,” concluded Mr Xuereb.

“We are delighted to enter into this agreement with Bank of Valletta and we are confident that the expertise, professionalism and the wide range of services the Bank offers, will support our members,” said Ing. Pizzuto. “The Chamber of Engineers is today an ever growing and very active organisation which is continuously exploring and implementing ways for supporting the profession. Through the benefits package that has been put together with Bank of Valletta we will also continue to enhance the services that we offer to our members.”

The Chamber of Engineers represents the engineering profession and is actively involved at both a local and European level through its affiliation with the European Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI) and with the Council of Associations of long cycle Engineers of the European Union (CLAIU). The Chamber also holds representation on a number of governmental boards and technical committees.
