Court: Man Charged with slightly injuring, threatening his wife

A 40-year-old man was yesterday charged with slightly injuring his wife and threatening he would kill her and her legal aide.

Before Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna, Philip Abela from St Paul’s Bay pleaded not guilty to threatening his wife Victoria and her lawyer Ian Micallef. He was also charged with relapsing.

He was denied bail and remanded in custody.

Police Inspector Alfred Mallia prosecuted. Dr Martin Fenech represented the accused and Dr Ian Micallef appeared parte civile.
