Bank of Valletta and Middlesea Valletta Life (MSV) are at the forefront in supporting local artists and promoting the development of the local arts.

BOV and MSV have announced that they are once again supporting Henry Alamango in his latest exhibition entitled “Kaleidoscope”.

The exhibition is being held at the Banca Giuratale in Victoria, Gozo, during the month of September. This is the fourth annual exhibition held by this popular Maltese artist at this venue.

Henry Alamango’s artistic development has hitherto been rooted primarily in watercolour representation of the physical environs of these islands. While continuing to nurture this development, Henry’s exhibition also illustrates the adoption of various media, each of which, he feels, might be better suited to the character of the theme being represented. It is in the nature of art and artists to probe the manner in which one may express the sensory and emotive kaleidoscope presented by the world around us.

In addition to watercolours, therefore, the liberal adoption of chalk pastels, inks, acrylic paints and gesso has been applied to mark Henry’s entry into what he terms as the second phase of his artistic development, inspired by a love of all things Mediterranean.
