Donna Cardona, dairy technologist at the Malta Dairy Products Ltd, has recently graduated with a Distinction in M.Sc. in food biotechnology at Strathclyde University in Glasgow.

Her thesis “Evaluating the performance of commercial probiotic cultures in a drinking yoghurt” was a practical exercise in new product development.

The operations manager at Malta Dairy Products Ltd, Ben Miltenburg, said that her findings will have a valuable contribution to the company’s plan to extend its product range.

Ms Cardona will be supporting the production and quality departments at Malta Dairy Products Ltd. as a dairy technologist with special emphasis on product development, product maintenance, quality improvement and HACCP / ISO procedures.
