The Philatelic Bureau of Maltapost plc will be issuing an Occasion Card and a Postal Card during the Maltex 2007 Philatelic Exhibition being held at Le Meridien Hotel, Floriana between Friday 28 and Sunday 30 September.
The Occasion Card, number 18 in the series, commemorates the 150th anniversary of the use of adhesives in the postal service in Malta.
The imprinted stamp is the 51c / EUR1.19 value showing the 17th century baroque balcony on the Hostel de Verdelin in Valletta. This Occasion Card was designed by Alfred Ruggier.
The Postal Card, number 28 in the series, commemorates the participation of Maltapost plc in the Maltex 2007 Philatelic Exhibition. The two stamps imprinted on the Postal Card are the 16c / EUR0.37 and 51c / EUR1.19 stamps issued earlier this year to commemorate the worldwide Scout Movement and one of the founder of the Movement, Lord Baden-Powell on his visit to Malta.
Both Cards will be available from all Maltapost postal retail outlets in Malta and Gozo, from the Maltapost Mobile Unit and from the temporary Branch Post Office during Exhibition opening hours at Le Meridien Phoenicia.
