Ryanair announced a new route from Malta to Venice Treviso last week, its eighth new route since starting services from Malta in October last year.

With the addition of this’s route, Ryanair said it expects to deliver some 300,000 passengers to and from Malta over the next year.

The fact that the flights will not land at Venice’s Marco Polo airport but the one at Treviso, some two hours away from Venice, were not given enough importance when the announcement was made last week.
