The European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) is holding its second scientific and annual general meeting here in Malta, at the Hilton Conference Centre at Portomaso, St Julian’s.
ESCP is dedicated to promoting and advancing the science, knowledge and practice of Coloproctology in Europe with high quality multidisciplinary annual clinical and scientific meetings.
Over 600 delegates will be attending the programme, which will start tomorrow with a pre-meeting workshop entitled Core Subject Update in which five state-of-the-Art lectures delivered by recognised experts in the field, will each be followed by a discussion.
The official opening will be on Thursday morning and this will be followed by a session on surgical technique, with video presentations, interactive chairmanship and floor discussion.
The symposia will cover topics such as Imaging in Colorectoral Cancer, Laparoscopy, Pelvic Floor Disorders, Pouches in Ulcerative Colitis, and Debates of Controversial Topics in Coloproctology.
This three-day meeting also includes several high-calibre keynote lectures presented by experts, the “Six Best Papers” and “Consultants’ Corner”.
