AN Calls for one-stop-shop

Malta Independent Monday, 1 October 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

The people are fed up of seeing reports being drawn up and are never implemented, Azzjoni Nazzjonali deputy leader Anglu Xuereb said yesterday.

Who will believe the government’s plans for Grand Harbour when in 20 years it had done nothing there except the Valletta Waterfront project that had been initiated by a Labour administration, Mr Xuereb asked.

The waterfront project itself should however be praised because it enabled the people to realise that the private sector was a great contributor to the country’s economy.

He however suggested the setting up of a one-stop-shop for business people to reduce red tape.
