President Edward Fenech Adami yesterday attended a Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Archbishop Emeritus Mgr Joseph Mercieca at the Holy Trinity Parish Church at Marsa, marking Enemalta’s 30th anniversary. Investment, Industry and IT Minister Austin Gatt together with Enemalta directors, management, employees, pensioners and their relatives also attended.

After Mass, the President was invited to visit the Marsa Power Station and was shown around by Enemalta Chairman Ing. Alexander J. Tranter and Chief Executive David Spiteri Gingell. During this short visit to the station, Dr Fenech Adami spoke to various employees on duty and thanked them for all their work.

Enemalta Chairman Ing. Tranter commented that were it not for the skill and capability of past and present Enemalta employees, the progress registered by the corporation over the last 30 years would have not been possible. The chairman added that the corporation is proud to state that most of the employees working with the corporation have a history of long service reflecting a high degree of dedication and commitment to their work.

President Fenech Adami later met with the board of directors and management and spoke about various initiatives that Enemalta is actively engaged in at the moment and other projects that Enemalta is planning to launch soon.
