A man was yesterday accused of threatening to kill his wife and his son on Tuesday in Birkirkara.
The 52-year-old man from Mellieha, whose name cannot be mentioned by court order so as to protect the identity of his wife and son, was also accused of harassing them and causing less than Lm500 in damage to their matrimonial home. He was also charged with breaching the peace.
Before magistrate Antonio Mizzi, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him. He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm2,000 and bound not to approach Birkirkara or his wife and son.
Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted while Dr Martin Fenech appeared for the accused.
