The central courtyard of the Auberge de Castille will be hosting a series of performances during this year’s Notte Bianca as the monumental edifice opens on October 6 for the viewing of its official rooms, from 7pm till 2am. Performances by the Victoria Clarinet Quartet, Alegria Dance Company and EnKor Choir will be followed by the unique styles of Ivan Filletti and Gianni Zammit in their respective gigs at 12.30am. A voice delivering heartfelt lyrics and strong melodies together with energetic live shows has established Filletti as one of Malta’s top singer-song writers and live performers. Four singles released from his debut album Somedays: Cold Heart, Who’s to Blame, Breaking my Hand and Fly – became some of the most played songs on radio stations and earned Filletti a string of nominations and awards at the Bay Music Awards over the last two years.
Filletti has supported Italian artists Marco Masini, Amedeo Minghi, Zucchero and performed with Claudio Baglioni at the Malta O’scia concert. During the Notte Bianca event Filletti will perform a 45-minute ‘unplugged set’ together with Alex Demetrevich (bass), Kevin Vella (guitars), Eric Wadge (guitars) and Andre Schembri (keyboards). Gianni and Charlie will offer an acoustic set of rock classics varying from The Eagles to Eric Clapton and from U2 to Green Day.
They have been performing as a duo for a number of years while they both have their own individual band. Charlie is the lead singer of the band Muzzle while Gianni leads the band RUG.
