Reduced Rates on HSBC’s flexicredit personal loans

Malta Independent Wednesday, 10 October 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Customers taking out a flexicredit personal loan can now benefit from reduced interest rates. These offers are for a limited period and will continue to make HSBC’s personal loan package ever more attractive.

Special discounted rates of interest are being offered on new Flexicredit loans taken out until 31 October 2007. The variable interest rate will be reduced from four per cent to 3.65 per cent above base rate, (effective rate of 7.9 per cent per annum), for the full term of the loan – (typical APR for a five-year Lm5,000 loan is 8.2 per cent per annum).

Customers may also fix their interest rates on personal loans, which have been revised to 7.75 per cent over a two-year term, 7.80 per cent over a three-year term, 7.85 per cent for a five-year term and 7.9 per cent for a seven-year loan term – (typical APR for a three-year Lm5,000 fixed rate loan is eight per cent per annum). This is clearly a first on the local market.

Godfrey Swain, HSBC’s Head of Personal Financial Services said: “These great rates and offers, together with our unequalled sixty minute response time, will complement the excellent service the Bank already offers customers, making HSBC the best place to bank.”
