Vodafone Malta is sponsoring the first edition of the Grand Prix de Malte with the launch of two competitions for its clients. The Grand Prix de Malte, an international car racing competition, is being organised by The Giovannoni Thierry Organisation, between 22 and 28 October 2007.
The first is an MMS competition that consists of a concours d’elegance that will be held on 26 October. All customers have to do is send an MMS of their classic car which will then be judged by the same panel that is also judging the foreign cars. The competition opens on 15 October and closes on 24 October 2007. Three finalists will be asked to show off their cars on the night and the winner will be announced. An MMS will be sent to Vodafone’s subscriber base with all information on how to participate.
The second is an SMS competition. Through this competition two Vodafone customers will win a VIP ticket to the paddock club during the Grand Prix de Malte. The competition will run between 15 and 24 October 2007. An SMS to Vodafone’s customer base will be sent as an invitation to participate in the draw.
Both the SMS and the MMS for these competitions cost 20c (EUR0.46c) each.
During this exclusive event one will be able to watch famous brands such as Bugatti, Ferrari, Aston Martin and Maserati. Participating in the rally will be the former Minister for Education in France, M. Luc Ferry, who has in the past participated in the Grand Prix De Tunis.
Contributing to this event are various government entities such as the Malta Tourism Authority, the Office of The Prime Minister, the Embassy of Malta in France, the Valletta and Floriana Local Councils, the ADT, the Malta Police Force, the Federazzjoni Maltija Vetturi Antiki, the Old Motors Club and the Malta Motorsport Federation.
