Vodafone Malta has announced the signing of an exclusive wholesale partnership deal with ASPIDER Solutions to support the launch of multiple Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) in Malta.

MVNOs will be able to provide branded mobile services using Vodafone’s infrastructure and network capacity. Through this partnership, MVNOs will target specific markets in both pre-paid and post-paid segments. The commercial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With this latest development, Vodafone Malta is supporting the launch of MVNOs in Malta and thus creating more choice in the market.

Following multiple successful MVNO launches in several countries over the past two years, ASPIDER Solutions continues to aggressively execute its strategy of capitalising on high-growth opportunities in the international mobile communications markets.

Both parties expect the MVNO market in Malta to develop in much the same way as it has in other countries such as Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and the UK.
