An initiative by YMCA to instill a fresh interest in our capital city, Valletta, is being sponsored by Hewlett Packard through their local distributor Systec Ltd. The initiative involves youngsters going around Valletta, armed with HP digital cameras, with a keen eye for “the good”, “the bad” and “the ugly”.
“The primary aim is to awaken a new passion in our capital – itself prestigiously listed as a UNESCO heritage site,” enthused J.P. Mifsud, a voluntary YMCA ambassador for this project. “By using the latest digital technology combined with young, creative minds, we are sure that we will have a full and varied portfolio of digital images, representing many facets of Valletta. These will all be considered for inclusion in a grand exhibition to be hosted at the YMCA Valletta premises, which will raise awareness for both the YMCA itself and Valletta”.
“Regional management from Hewlett Packard were immediately captured by the originality of this YMCA concept and by the appeal that it would undoubtedly have for the worthy cause. HP, via Systec Ltd, authorised distributors in Malta, are pleased to be able to sponsor this initiative through the provision of HP M447 digital cameras, and are looking forward with great anticipation to the results”, said Systec Ltd managing director Ing. Raphael Micallef Trigona. “We there encourage the public to participate and support the YMCA in this activity and future activities”.
