Bank of Valletta has just announced the introduction of a scheme aimed at helping staff members sustain the expenditure they incur on child-care centres. In keeping with its commitment to support working parents, BOV is introducing a subsidy to reimburse part of the fees incurred by parents who use child-care services for their children.
Speaking about this initiative, Noel Scerri, executive head human resources at Bank of Valletta said, “BOV goes a long way to support working parents. Whenever possible, we try to provide employees the opportunity to engage in flexible working practices. We enable employees to work on reduced hours to allow them to work in ways that fit their particular family needs, within the framework of the Bank’s business requirements.”
The introduction of this subsidy scheme, together a number of other HR initiatives undertaken in order to aid working parents upholds the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility and reinforces the Bank’s commitment towards its workforce.
“BOV continually embarks on new initiatives aimed at improving the working lives of staff members, helping them to achieve a good work/life balance”, concluded Mr Scerri.
