Over 160 technical employees from GO participated in a training and certification programme, aimed to further improve their knowledge and skills in the field of data communications, with special focus on ADSL broadband technology. The initiative is in line with GO’s strategy to provide ongoing training and development techniques for its employees.

As a result of this training, GO now boasts a team of accredited technicians geared to incorporate work on basic telephony and ADSL service for excellent results. The primary focus of the dynamic programme was to turn out a dedicated team of professionals committed to enhancing customer experience on the criteria of high level workmanship and proficient consumer service.

“GO undertakes to provide its employees with quality training, aimed at developing their skills and enabling them to achieve highly skilled performance standards and a shared commitment. Training helps to foster a positive work environment for the benefit of our employees and our customers,” said David Kay, GO’s Chief Executive Officer.

“Our strategic vision involves versatile employee-training to further drive workforce stability and at the same time, enhance GO’s customer-focused culture,” he said.

The training and certification course was spread over a seven-month period. Sessions, held at the company’s training centre in Balzan, were addressed by a number of company engineers. The examination and certification process was overseen by the Employment and Training Corporation.

CEO David Kay, Ing. Joe Bugeja, GO’s Technical Director, Philippe Van Coillie, GO’s Chief H.R. Officer and Michael Balzan, Chairman for the Employment and Training Corporation attended the certificate-awarding ceremony.
