As the Official Partner Bank of the National Euro Changeover Committee (NECC) BOV is offering its support to the NECC in the organisation of the Euro Village event being held today and tomorrow at Gnien l-iStazzjon in Birkirkara.
The BOV branch situated near the site of the Euro Village will be open in order to provide the public with the opportunity to buy euro notes and coins for use at the Euro Village at the fixed exchange rate of EUR1=Lm0.429300. The BOV branch will be open between 9am and 9pm on Sunday and between 5pm and 9pm on Monday to provide a limited euro currency exchange service for use at the Euro Village.
The Euro Village is an initiative undertaken by the NECC aimed at giving people the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the use of euro money before Euro-day. Gnien l-iStazzjon will be turned into a Euro Village with stalls trading in euro. There will also be an entertainment area for children to make the event a place to be for all the family.
