The second BOV Prize in Medicine was presented to Rosalie Aquilina for excelling in the final qualifying exams in medicine at the University of Malta. Dr Aquilina obtained the highest composite marks in two examination papers and a clinical examination. Her performance was excellent and she was thus selected for the BOV prize.

Dr Aquilina received the BOV Prize in Medicine from Michael Galea, head at the CEO’s office at Bank of Valletta in the presence of Prof Joseph Cacciottolo, head of the Department of Medicine at the University of Malta Medical School.

“The BOV Prize in Medicine seeks to reward academic excellence,” said Michael Galea upon presenting the award. “This award was instituted last year under the Education Pillar of the Bank’s Community Programme and we are once again delighted to be rewarding the medical student who has achieved such outstanding results,” concluded Mr Galea.
