A 29-year-old man was placed on probation for three years after he was found of burglary.
Christopher Scerri, from Zebbug, pleaded guilty to stealing a watch worth Lm1,000 and Lm1,025.74 in cash on 27 December 2004 at 8am at the detriment of Paola Galea from Valletta.
The court, presided over by magistrate Audrey Demicoli, took into account that Scerri was spending two months in jail after he breached the terms of a conditional discharge for breaching the peace in 2004 and said that Scerri should be given an opportunity to reform himself.
Police Inspector Josric Mifsud led the prosecution while Dr Franco Debono appeared for the accused.
