The Bank of Valletta is once again the main sponsor of the Christmas activities in Malta’s premier thoroughfare, Republic Street, Valletta.

The activities that will be held, organised by the Republic Street Business Community Association (RSBCA), aim to make Republic Street more attractive to shoppers and passers-by and boost business during the festive season. The attractions for the festive season include car and motorcycle exhibitions, a lottery for shoppers with a car as the grand prize, and extensive Christmas lighting that is so characteristic of Republic Street in Valletta at this time of the year.

Richard Dimech, executive head of Bank of Valletta’s business centre and branch in Valletta, presented the bank’s sponsorship to Michael Borg, president of the RSBCA following the setting up of the Christmas lights in Republic Street.

“The Christmas period is an important one for the business community in Valletta,” said Mr Dimech, during the presentation held outside the BOV branch in Republic Street. “We applaud the RSBCA for their efforts, and take this opportunity to support them tangibly through the bank’s extensive community programme.”
