A vocal and instrumental Christmas concert shall be held at the Old Parish Church of St. Julian’s, popularly known as Lapsi Church on Friday at 7.30pm.

The University Junior College Orchestra under the direction of Mro Manoel Pirotta shall present a number of musical pieces ranging from arrangements of popular Christmas Carols to compositions by international and local composers, including works by Mro Pirotta himself.

Five promising young soloists will be accompanied by this orchestra in the rendition of some of the presented works.

This concert is one of the many initiatives that is being undertaken by the Rector of Lapsi Church, the Reverend Claude Portelli together with the newly established group Ghaqda Dilettanti Knisja ta’ Lapsi.

This group has been formed to help the Rector in the noble aim of safeguarding this historical gem.

The general public is cordially invited to attend. Entrance is free of charge but a retiring collection will be made for the benefit of the many projects of restoration being undertaken.
