The Union Haddiema Maghqudin’s Health Service Section is taking industrial action in connection with Mater Dei’s outpatients’ pharmacy, as well as the paramedics who work with the Department of Health.
It said that pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who work in the Mater Dei’s outpatients pharmacy were facing huge difficulties, and the paramedics were still without benefits agreed on over a year ago.
The main problem at the outpatients dept in Mater Dei Hospital is the lack of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, with the existing complement finding it difficult to take their holiday leave.
As from next Wednesday, all paramedics will be taking the first industrial action by not answering the phone.
